The inspiration for this short film came from doing leg day LOL but for real, this was a great opportunity to collaborate with old friend and talented DP, Brandon Potter. We set out to create a contained, high-level story for no budget. I’m proud to have done that with a shoot that only took a few hours (literally just a camera + nat light) and an editing process that took a little more than a week. Within the story, we explore the emotional headspace that society praises and is often adopted to ensure maximum performance. Inspired by Nike campaign ads like Awaken Your Madness and Winning Isn’t For Everyone, I wanted to create an energized piece—visually and sonically—that still felt cinematic.
